Hyundai SmartSense technology offers an intuitive sense of safety that keeps the driver and passengers always protected. It enhances your driving experience into one that is convenient and stress-free. These safety features are designed to avoid crashes and collisions by offering technologies that alert the driver to problems, implementing safeguards and taking control of the vehicle, if necessary. It is also proven to reduce road fatalities by minimising human errors.
Forward collision - avoidance assist - junction turning (FCA-JT)
FCA – JT helps to avoid collison with a vehicle in an adjacent lane, when turning right at a cross road (with turn signal on) by automatically applying brakes.
Forward collision - avoidance assist - cycle (FCA-Cyl)
On detecting the risk of a collision with a cyclist, the driver is alerted about the danger, and if necessary, brakes are automatically applied to help prevent a frontal collision.
Lane keeping assist (LKA)
The system uses the front camera to detect lane drift and provides audio visual warnings. The steering wheel makes adjustment to keep the vehicle in line and avoid collison.
Blind-spot collision - avoidance assist (BCA)
BCA helps to mitigate chances of any collison with vehicles in the rear blind spots by giving warning and then by braking.
Safe exit assist (SEA)
Assist you to exit safely if a vehicle is approaching from the rear while you exit the car.
Lane following assist (LFA)
LFA helps you to keep the car in the center of the lane.
Rear cross - traffic collision - avoidance assist (RCCA)
While reversing your car, if there is oncoming traffic then SmartSense will warn you of incoming traffic. If you miss the warning, then RCCA will automatically apply the brakes to mitigate collison.
Blind-spot view monitor (BVM)
BVM enables you to see vehicles hidden in the blind spots and helps in taking turns safely.
Driver attention warning (DAW)
DAW will detect and alert you if your attention level is low while driving and suggest you to take a break.
Forward collision warning (FCW)
It warns you of an impending collision with cars, cyclists and pedestrians ahead of you by giving audio visual signals.
High beam assist (HBA)
It detects lights from oncoming vehicles and automatically shifts between low and high beam enabling you to focus on the road.
Leading vehicle departure alert (LVDA)
This feature alerts you when the vehicle ahead starts moving and you do not react quickly enough.
Lane departure warning (LDW)
It emits an audio visual alert if the vehicle starts to veer out of its lane while a turn single is not active.
Surround view monitor (SVM)
It shows a 360 degree top view of your surroundings making parking easier and safer.
Smart cruise control with stop & go (SCC with S&G)
It helps you maintain a pre-determined distance from the vehicles ahead by automatically adjusting the driving speed. It also works in stop and go situations.
