• Battery EMI starting at just INR 3.9 per kilometre
• BaaS lowers the upfront ownership cost, enabling greater accessibility to electric mobility
• Further enhancing the premium EV ownership proposition, the Hyundai CRETA Electric will now be offered with integrated side foot step, adding both convenience and a premium SUV stance
• The Home Charger (HC) variants now come with 7.4 kW wall box charger basis customer demand enabling a customer-friendly home charging solution



Gurugram | July 02, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today announced the introduction of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model for the Hyundai CRETA Electric. Customers can now own the Hyundai CRETA Electric at a starting price of INR 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), along with battery EMI starting at just INR 3.9 per kilometre.

The introduction of BaaS marks another significant step in Hyundai’s commitment towards accelerating EV adoption in India by addressing one of the biggest customer concerns of higher upfront acquisition cost.

Along with introducing the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model, Hyundai Motor India has further enhanced the ownership experience of the Hyundai CRETA Electric with the addition of an integrated Side Foot Step, offering ease of entry and exit for customers and elevating its premium SUV stance, based on customer response and market demand, the company will offer a 7.4 kW wall box charger in the HC variants of the line-up, enabling a customer-friendly home charging solution

The Hyundai CRETA Electric has proven its real-life usage across multiple test and record runs including the Hyundai Test Driven by 100 campaign, where 100 creators test drove the CRETA Electric and evaluated it across 10 states, 26 cities, and 200+ destinations, covering 15,000 km. The evaluation spanning over 100+ days tested the car in diverse terrains and climates, generating strong digital traction with 526M views, 35M likes, and extensive audience engagement.

Hyundai CRETA Electric achieved a national milestone by recording the “Maximum Distance Covered by an Electric Car in 24 Hours” in the India Book of Records, covering 1,326.5 km. During the same run, it also set a benchmark for the fastest 1,000 km, completing the distance in just 18 hours and 31 minutes.
