Hyundai Electric Air Show Exhibition set to boost Nudie Australian Boardriders Battle National Final in Newcastle.
Aerial specialists from 24 of Australia’s best Boardriders Clubs will take to the skies in four separate half-hour-long heats as the Hyundai Electric Air Exhibition gets set to boost entertainment levels at the 2021 Australian Boardriders Battle National Final at Newcastle Main Beach over the weekend of May 15th/16th.
Huge moves will be thrown down over the two days as the keys to a Hyundai Kona Electric car for a year await the winner of the Electric Air Exhibition, an amazing prize set to up the ante of aerial antics performed (one competitor per club).
A Hyundai blimp will hover above the lineup, dangling the keys to the new Hyundai within reach of competitors during the four exhibition time slots. Best aerial of the day by a surfer who grabs the keys, WINS!

Hyundai remains the naming rights sponsor to the Hyundai Air Show run before the semi-finals on Sunday 16th May with $1000 for the winner's club as another great prize awarded to great aerial surfing.
Snapper Rocks Surfriders renowned Aerialist Mitch Parkinson will be trying every trick in his book of above the lip tricks to win himself a set of wheels if nominated as his club's aerial specialist.
Parkinson said: “ The air show is a crowd favourite over the national final weekend, and now there is a car up for grabs as the first prize, there will be some crazy aerial surfing going down! I will be throwing the kitchen sink at any section I can hoping to stick something huge to take the car home for a year!"

Now in its eighth season, the nudie Australian Boardriders Battle is the country's biggest grassroots boardriders event, involving more than 60 of Australia’s best boardrider clubs and $112,700 in prize money.
Adding to the high stakes at the State qualifying events will be two speciality awards. The Oakley Prizm Performer will be awarded to the standout surfer, while the Surfing Australia Innovation Award ($1000) will be presented to the surfer who performs the most innovative manoeuvre.
