    My fleet experience so far

    I been very lucky to have spent almost 30 years in the fleet/automotive industry, experiencing lots of change and challenges along the way. To help me to best support customers with their fleet challenges I have achieved the BVRLA/ICFM Professional Fleet Consultant and also the CPC certificate in National Road Haulage.

    Why I enjoy working with businesses to support them with their fleet requirements

    It is very rewarding helping customers achieve their fleet goals, especially when drivers are delighted with the cars. The move to EV can be challenging as there is a lot of information out there so helping to provide sound support  and guidance as to which Hyundai Fleet cars would fit best onto the customer’s Fleet policy is what gives me the most satisfaction.

    1. Car Choices – helping to make sure that the right cars are available on choice lists through working with customers and funders on whole life costs and selecting the right car for the job in terms of range, boot capacity and desirability.
    2. EV transition - helping fleets transition by understanding the daily habits of drivers and helping to implement car policies, good practice and practical advice hints and tips.
    3. Trusted Advisor – building relationships through consistent communication, personalised support and really understanding and offering solutions for the changes and challenges facing fleets today.

    The Kona EV is my favourite car. I recently travelled from Cheshire to the North East of Scotland, then over to Stornaway in the west, down to Edinburgh before heading home again. The car was so comfortable with a great driving position and spacious boot it made the 1,000 or so miles a breeze.

    2. Holistic Approach – At any one-time multiple stakeholders can be involved with multiple requirements. From the beginning to the end of the vehicle change cycle being flexible and adaptable to a customer’s needs is an important role to play in account management.
    3. Procurement & Policy – Qualifying and then supporting with the right product at the right price point. This can include batch orders or ensuring vehicles are recommended appropriately for change cycles.

    My favourite vehicle is the IONIQ 5. It provides a very welcome and generous space throughout the cabin with ample range. The boot is large enough for a pram with plenty of space left over too! Overall, it makes for a brilliant everyday car for both fleet and personal use.
