What our robots are doing right now.

Today, our robots work mostly in industrial settings, helping to foster safer, more efficient and more predictable operations. Spot, our agile mobile robot, helps operations teams collect equipment data and perform inspections in industries like energy and utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, and mining.

On the job – around the world.

What differentiated Boston Dynamics from its competitors in the field was that we had already successfully integrated agile, mobile robots into business operations. Boston Dynamics is an established leader and innovator in the field of robotics, and we work with many of the world’s leading industrial firms.

    Collaborative development.

This partnership is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. Luckily, Boston Dynamics and Hyundai have complementary strengths, so we’re creating technological synergies.

A closer look at two of our successful robots.

Boston Dynamics’ mission is to imagine and create exceptional robots that enrich people’s lives. One of the things that makes Boston Dynamics unique is the ambition to build dynamically stable, legged machines.

Spot

Meet Spot.

Spot is an agile mobile robot that navigates terrain with unprecedented mobility, allowing you to automate routine inspection tasks and data capture safely, accurately, and frequently. Almost a thousand Spots are already out in the world today, performing valuable work for safer, more efficient and more predictable operations.

Atlas

Meet Atlas.

Atlas is a research platform designed to push the limits of whole-body mobility. Atlas’s advanced control system and state-of-the-art hardware give the robot the power and balance to demonstrate human-level agility – making it the most dynamic humanoid robot.

Future Plans.

With Boston Dynamics, Hyundai will create a robotics value chain reaching from robot component manufacturing to smart logistics solutions. This will become the starting point for future mobility, where we break through the conventional concept of road vehicles, and reach out to places that were previously unthinkable.

Welcome to the family with BTS.

BTS – the K pop superstars and Hyundai Global Brand Ambassadors – got a surprise visit from two special guest robots at their video shoot – Boston Dynamics’ Spot and Atlas. Watch them all have fun showing off their moves in an epic dance-off.
